I just finished replacing the starter in my 1993. It is not complicated, but getting to all of the bolts is a PITA.
For anyone else that does it, putting together a tool like in the attached link helped a lot, but it is still hard to squeeze into areas. When you use this tool, the socket wrench will be down by the back of the transmission with the extensions running parallel to the tranny.

It does not mention it in the instructions, but loosen the upper and lower bracket bolts before removing the three main bolts.
