My dad called me in a panic that I had to do something about this Java right away and had had finished the Coffee Pot this morning before 10am?!?!?

Disable java in your web browser. the threat is malicious java code imbedded in websites.
FYI: Oracle (who owns JAVA) released a patch this morning. Go to www.java.com and you can install the update.
