Looking for a daily driver that I can still autocross and occasionally take to the track.
I really like the looks of the 370Z, but haven't driven one. I do know they are heavy.
I also like the Infiniti G37 coupe.
Please discuss! :snack:

Subi STi?
^Definitely a good one to throw in the mix!
I've always liked the Speed 3's too, and other sporty hatches.
BRZ? Genisis Coupe?
How about a red C5Z06? ;) I kid, I kid....
Good luck, hardest thing to find in the world especially if you're on a budget. I've been trying to do the same thing for a while, gave up.
G37 is heavy, like as heavy as the GT-R without the power and AWD.
I would look at E46 M3, E46 330zhp, E90/92 335i with a diff, 05+ STi, 03+ Evo, BRZ/FR-S, CTS-V, Pontiac G8 (basically a Holden).
Unless the gearing is different on the 2nd gen Gen Coupes, I'm not seeing the "fun" in autocross... Color me not a fan of constant 2-3-2 shifting... Also, not a pleasant daily driver unless your commute is awfully short.
M3 is always the answer.
Of that list, the Subi is probably the most appealing to me. BMW's scare me...wife had an E46 and I know they are not cheap to work on.
Thanks for the insight.
BRZ might be too small too. See above about the Genesis.
There was a sweet, brand new one at TX Track Works today....but I'm too cheap for one of those.
Wife has a G37 (convertible) over 4,000 lbs. Like driving my grandfather's Oldsmobile.
The MS3 has plenty of space, 5 seater, plus hatchback, it has enough room for a double bass; but a front driver. Don't fear the torque steer, a car with too much power is more fun to get used to than a car with not enough.
New Focus ST.
Was looking at those...it beat out the MS3 and GTI.

Wrong wheel drive, but the Fucus ST would be a cool choice.
+1 on the Focus ST and the reg WRX. Sti is cool, but I've seen the standard WRX smoke its stock class and its reasonably priced and doesnt have the finicky mechanocals of the sti. Still think the bBRZ is the best choice.
If you want bigger, then the 370Z is the wrong direction. You realize that C6's are about to get really affordable??
+ 1 on the ST... I'm not at all biased......
It's a blast to drive.
Golf R 4 door.
Drive your truck and keep your MX5. How much do you owe on either? My point EXACTLY.
How about a newer Mustang GT?? Lots of aftermarket parts and pieces to to upgrade it for as long as you have it.
The 2013 I looked at the other day has me thinking.

Plus I could let my hair grow out in the back some but still be all business in the front.
