NC Throttle Pedal adjustment

I took a quick break from studying this morning and scrounged through my parts bin. I found a lightweight bolt with a huge opening that the factory bolt passes through (so any old washer would be fine, this was lighter than the equivalent stack of washers). It is in the 10-12 mm range, so I *need* to pick up a longer bolt since I only have about 3 threads engaged.

Result? Much more "natural" feel for my right foot, and the pedal is dead even with the brake pedal when the brake pedal is moderately engaged (read: Heel and toe is much easier). There is still plenty of clearance between the pedal and carpet (>15 mm), so I see no need to trim the pedal.

For reference, the stock bolts are 6 mm 1.0 x 25 mm. It looks like you can stack on 8mm worth of washers before running out of bolt... I'll pick up a 30mm next time I'm out for safety's sake.

are you "raising" the pedal? moving it closer to you?

Sorry... I put the spacer in the top, moving the pedal away from me about 35mm.

Did that to mine when I got the Cobalt pedals. Very nice mod.

Are there before and after pics for this mod? The pedals in the NC are definitely not to my liking.

I did it during a study break and forgot my phone, but I'll go shoot an after so you can compare the throttle pedal height. It takes less than 5 minutes... No parts are harmed.
