Anyone know about the BMW autocross that is suppose to be held at COTA on June 9?
the event sold out in a couple of days, I don't have a link handy but do a search for lone star ccw or texas trifecta.
The autocross did not sell out the DE event sold out.
Email from LSC BMW CCA
There is a Tri-Chapter AutoX, on Sunday, June 9th at the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin TX.
This is our time to show the Houston Chapter, and those Austinites who insist on "Keeping it Weird," that LSCBMWCCA produces the best Autocrossers in the state!
A link for registering on Motorsports Reg can be found here:

If you haven't AutoX'd before, it's some of the most competitive racing there is. The difference between 1st and 2nd, can easily be in the thousandths of a second range. It doesn't get much closer than that!
Our next LSCBMW scheduled AutoX is Saturday, June 22 at Mineral Wells, and I invite all of our members out to give it a try!
I hope to see you all at any of our BMW Autocrosses!

opps my fault did not see autocross.
Registered for the autox, emailed about instructing. Unfortunately, I won't be able to run my car on the track, since BMW convertible rules are tricky, but I might figure out an alternative, or just instruct only.

Mick has questionable taste and eyesight
Eye bleach fixes everything.
Where is the autocross taking place out there? on the track?
It's all good. I've done a few autocrosses on road courses before...can be fun, but extended straights with slalom elements can get hairy quick...
Wish there was more info on the autocross like runs, course, or what area its being held. The entry list is fairly low. I wonder, for the folks that aren't running in the HPDE, if we are going to be allowed to watch or maybe even ride with instructors.
This event is being run by 3 BMW CCA clubs, Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Each club is hosting a different section. The DE is the Dallas group, AX the Houston, and I think Austin is keeping it weird or car show. This is the info page for the event, http://texastrifecta.com/. But the info is not very much. Let me see what I can find.
Thanks Ken. Trying to decided if its worth making the trip.
Info is up and the course looks good.
- Registration will open at 9 am (this will give our distant participants time to get to the site)
- Tech inspection will open at 9:15 am to 10:15 am

Looks like a fairly long and fun course, too bad I will be in San Diego.
Anyone have a link to results?
