OK I was bored today and found a old garage door opener and happened to have a push button switch lying around so I made a mounted garage door opener on my miata took me about 5 min to solder and then another 5 to fit it in.

Thats pretty cool. I have heard of people doing that. Sounds like it was a quick project. Is it pretty easy? to a pure novice?
yeah it was very easy
All i did was solder the button to the back of the board of the garage door opener pretty straight forward
I can add some pics of the garage door opener tomorrow if you like to get an idea
that would be great, I would love to try and do this myself.

I believe someone here on the board connected his opener to his flash-to-pass switch. Very stealthy.
I plan on changing the switch out sometime later to something a little more "stealthy" i just used the red one because i had it laying there not doing anything i thought i would give it a purpose lol

Mine require ignition power... Seems safer to me than leaving an opener in the car if it ever might be parked outside the house.
