Last night on the way home from my folks' house, something got flipped up off the road ahead of me and whacked the windshield. Now it's got a nice creeping star crack right in front of me. I thought we had a recent windshield thread, but I couldn't find it. Any recommendations on the east side?

Make sure they get a good piece of glass (inspect before it goes in) the one they brought for the white miata had some kind of residue that didn't clean off with alcohol, and I had to have them come back and use some industrial solvent. Still, killer service, price and install quality. Will use them again without hesitation.

Quick update... the windshield the guy brought had the mount for the rearview mirror on it. He called the shop and they said they could get one without the mount (and, presumably, without the black spot underneath) from Mazda for a few extra bucks, so he's coming back tomorrow with a different piece of glass. He was super nice and apologetic that he got the wrong windshield. So far good...
Quick question... what years did the NA have the mirror glued on to the glass? My rusty brain thinks it was only '96 and '97, but it could be wrong.
My 92 and 93 are not on the glass. My 96 was on the glass.
My 97 has the mount on the glass. Tell them to send that windshield they brought you my way!

Is the windshield tinted along the top or clear? Just curious as the all clear windshields are supposedly hard to find. Good price. I'm tempted to get mine replaced just because mine is so scratched and pitted.
