I forget...are NA wipers supposed to return to the cowl when you turn them off? If they're supposed to and they aren't, what's the cause?

I forget...are NA wipers supposed to return to the cowl when you turn them off? If they're supposed to and they aren't, what's the cause?
Maybe they're free spirits.
Have they been removed and not installed at the right degree?
I did remove them to paint them, but I made a witness mark so I could put them back where they came from.
Did you switch left and right by mistake?
Nope...left one has the 'wing' on it.
Did they work before you messed with them?
Don't know...had not used them.
Club roadster would kill for this functionality. When you figure out what broke you should do a write up over there.
:punchout:
LeMans Prototype look FTW!
I would suggest contacting your authorized Mazda dealer
Back in the 80's, that was a Mazda feature... Maybe it's coming back! All my RX-7s developed that feature around 110k miles, at least... Or had developed it by the time I possessed them.
Found this on the pointy board...
Now that i think of it, i think there is a cam and a microswitch inside the wiper motor that keeps power to the motor until the arms are in the down position, once you turn the wipers off.
After calling Rogue looking to buy a wiper motor, he recommended I clean the electrical connection on the motor itself first.
I did that and it's now working like it's supposed to! Thanks Stevan!!!
Rainx too, just in case the problem comes back!
^Right, but I still have a few other things on my shopping list! ;)
