My new NC (new to me anyway) has a RB CAI with the K&N filter behind the bumper skin inside an air box. I am able to pull the air tube with the filter attached out about a couple of inches from the air box. But, I can not get the filter off the tube. The filter rubber mouth seems to be stuck on the metal air tube pretty good. Any idea how to get the filter off the tube? Thanks!
Take off the bumper skin, I believe?
Get some WD40 or similar product. Get a tool that you can slide in between the tube and filter and spray, work the tool around and as the lube works its way around the filter will slide right off.
I use this at work for stuck rad hoses and air hoses all the time.

You have to remove the bumper to access the filter. Buy a TDR intake and you won't have to.

heh, I asked my snap on guy what a rad pick would cost, and he wanted like 45 bucks. I have used that thing maybe 3 times since I bought it, so the return on investment wouldn't have really been worth it to me...

Yeah, that's why I went for the harbor freight one. The only reason I have mostly snap on is because when I graduated, I got half off, so I got a bunch of stuff. Since then I've mostly gone with Matco, since his prices usually undercut Snap On's, and he's nicer than the kind of sleazy snap on guy
