Saw a Megasquirt V1.1 on miata.net (http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=536216) for the same year I'm doing a 1.8 swap on my 90. Is it worth talking him down in the price some, learn to tune, then sell it later and get a newer version.

Get the MS that matches your wiring harness and engine sensors/controls. If you are swapping all that stuff in addition to the engine onto your '90, then get the later year MSPNP. Otherwise, get the MSPNP that matches what you currently have. Most people retrofit their existing coils, injector harness, etc., etc. onto the later engine when doing the swap.
Thanks. That was the plan, to just buy the FM swap and other various parts.
