I'm going to get the car inspected tomorrow but I'm still working out the tune on the ms3x. I have no idea if it will pass so the plan of it fails is to go back home and plug the stock ecu back in.
Question is if I leave the wideband in on the stock ecu will this give any problems with inspection? I'm a lazy bastard and this is the last day I'll have to get the car running so want to do as little work as possible.

If you have a cat and a proper tune on MS3, you should not have a problem passing the sniffer test.
A wideband O2 sensor outputs a voltage range of 0-5v. The factory narrowband only does 0-1v. On some widebands you can program its output to mimic a 0-1v output like a narrowband to keep a stock ECU happy.
DO NOT JUST HOOK THE WIDEBAND O2 SENSOR DIRECTLY TO THE STOCK ECU OR BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN
Yes it will work but you have to change the settings on it like posted above. What wb are you running?

How difficult is it to change the settings on the WB? I guess if it fails I can swap the old narrowband back in its probably easier.
I have an MTX-L. IIRC, there is a separate wire that is already configured for the 0-1 output. It is in the user manual. You can pull it up on their website.
Innovate widebands come from the factory with 2 analog output wires. One is configured for 0-5VDC (representing 10:1 to 20:1 AFR) and the other is configured for 0-1VDC with a rapid switch at 14.7:1 AFR to mimic a narrowband. You can customize both of these outputs using the Innovate software and talking to the wideband controller on RS-232 (newer ones might have native USB, not sure).
I agree that the MS3 should have no issues passing, and if it does, an afternoon of autotuning should get you there. If you want to switch back to the stock ECU, I would also go ahead and put the OEM NBO2 back in as well. That would take less time than figuring out the Innovate software or rewiring for the second output if you haven't done it before.

Things to note, the cat lost one of it's 3 cells, crumbled & fell out, so I drove the piss out of it and left it in 4th for a minute before exiting to make sure the cat was nice & hot. When I pulled up the WB was throwing weird numbers (pegged on 14.7 then jump to max lean & max rich back & fourth. Wonder if I overheated it? I didn't drive it any harder than I would have on track. May have affected something, I dunno but it evened out on the drive home.
Here's my AFR targets for reference. I've ran a handful of decently long autotune runs. I'll post my fuel map when I get back to my laptop. Still learning, but any room for improvement here?

I may take yall up on that offer, lol. My idle I thought it was dialed in, but the AC idle up is totally screwed and warmup idle has gotten terrible. I am still reading the obsurd info on idle and can't remember exactly what I did but warm idle no AC is solid, but seems to either idle high, just right, or super low depending on the day. Setting via the IAC screw seems to have had zero effect the other day it was idling near 0.25k.Quote:

Oh yea I also have a wierd fuel cut or power loss chugg between 3 to 5 k ONLY with ac on. Didn't do it the other day, but it's done it plenty the last week.
Other than those problems engine runs like a top. I guess i'm in the frustrating phase working the running bugs out.
