My son had a couple of friends over this weekend. The female friend said she did not like Miatas because the were "too feminine looking". I told my son not to invite her over again! :)

Although I agree on half of the cars, convertible VWs and PT cruiser, the guy's probably never sat in any of those cars. He describes the MINI as being difficult for a large guy to sit in comfortably... dude my 07 MINI has more legroom than my Murano or old Honda Element...enough to keep my toes 6 inches from the pedals at full lock, i'm 6'2". Telescopic steering wheel if you have a huge gut.

This is why non-car guys should never write about cars. The tallest guy where I work drives a Mini and he fits in it fabulously. He actually fits in the mini better than he fits in the passenger seat of my "manly" Ford Mustang.
Car guys love Miatas because they are light, easy to maintain and handle like oversized go karts. They are indestructible go karts that you can legally drive to work.
Now if I can just get my go kart looking nice and converted to manly 5.0 power......
