Miata seat leather repair/redye

Hey guys,

I've spent the better part of the last 4 weeks repairing and redyeing my 95M's leather seats. I posted a long thread over on miata.net but thought I might share here too for those that don't get to M.net very often.

Fantastic job! That is amazing.

I REALLY like trickyrix's 95M replacement seatcovers from leatherseats.com. IMO they look better and appear better quality than OEM. They aren't cheap though.

I don't know how long they'll look this great...usage dependent of course. But I do know that they will not deteriorate to pre-repair condition for many, many years. Plus, the cost is only a fraction of the cost of replacement seats or covers.

The repair looks really good, but I do wonder how long it will last. When I replaced my seat covers, I realized how cheap the OEM material was. It's basically a painted finish, and the leather itself is paper-thin.
