Can I just grab one from Autozone, Oreilly's, etc.? Or do I need to get an OEM replacement (e.g., I've always read that you need the OEM spark plug wires).

I thought that was a dealer only part? Maybe someone on the board has one they'd sell.
They're available aftermarket now but I have no idea if the quality is comparable to OEM or not. The problem with a used coil pack is it's also a 15 year old part that's prone to failure. A used coil pack might be the most cost effective though.
I got mine from Nissan Mazda heaven (used).
If your coil pack is bad it will mess up your cat (quickly) so be ready to have that fail if you don't get the coils replaced.
So it's not sounding like people are saying to run away from the Autozone/Oreilly offerings
I had great results with a rock auto coil pack, and the price wasn't much more than a used one.
