I have the main floor piece of black loop. PM me if interested.
I have a fuzzy carpet set (complete) from a '97. In very good but not perfect shape. Some wear on driver's footwell but not bad, and a floor mat will cover it. Otherwise it is very nice.
I also have all the plastics and door cards from the '97.
I assume you have tan interior? I would be interested in swapping if so. You're welcome to come over and do the swap. My stuff is out and ready to install.
Yes I have a tan '91 interior with 125K miles on it. IMO it's not worthy of a trade. It's pretty damn ugly. The rear pillar plastics are good. The carpet would be good after some cleaning. It has had floor mats down to protect it most of it's life. The seats are terrible. I know a great local upholstery shop though. I had them do a great repair on a '97 black cloth driver's seat for me. It looks as good as the unused passenger seat I obtained at the same time.
The front kick panel plastics in my car are fair. The passenger door panel and door handle are serviceable. The driver's side door panel was beat all to hell when the PO removed it once for whatever reason (stereo stuff I bet). The drivers side speaker grill is turning rust color telling me the speaker bucket is gone, and I know the weather stripping at the window is bad.
The carpet and plastic don't match in color very well IMO after all these years of sun exposure either. I think to take my interior and turn it into a nice tan interior would require at least a good carpet cleaning, new floor mats, a new driver's side door panel and repainting of some of the plastics to get them back to tan from sun faded yellow.
My plan is to obtain black carpet, black plastics (or paint my plastics black), and to make my own door panels. I already ordered the rev limiter door pulls for making my own door panels. I'm going to make them out of carbon fiber / kevlar myself with an aluminum or fiberboard backing plate cut to match the original door cards. I'm either going to get black top door pads or paint / dye mine black. The parts of the dash that are tan / (yellowed now) are going to be painted black. I'm not sure if I'm going to elimnate the center console or cover it in real carbon fiber yet or leave it black.... I might do the radio tower in CF too.
So we can work out a trade / partial trade including cash or whatever you like. I just honestly don't think my interior is worth the effort. I'd try to get something nicer. I took pictures if you like. Honestly I'm willing to buy your carpet and plastics and let you have my stuff for free.
If no one here has carpet to sell I guess I'm going to have to go to Mazda Nissan heaven and see what they have to pull. I'm not really keen on paying $400 for a new carpet set when I'm sure there is a serviceable used option. Besides I'm going to need $700 just to build a fresh 5.0 shortblock. I'm picking up my core this weekend.
I can sell you the set with a partial trade if you're interested. I don't want much for it, and I would like some carpet for building new console delete panels. I can clean the carpet up if it is salvagable. :)
