WTB: Cheap Miata

I know, I know, it's what everyone wants to buy :rolleyes:. So my Grassroots challenge team and I are looking for a new Miata to replace the broken Nissan VG30E swapped piece o' crap that's taking up space in the shop. We're looking for any NA (NB would work I suppose, but those are usually more $$) that can have really bad paint and interior, and maybe some minor body damage. We're going to strip it entirely and possibly repaint. I'd prefer a 1.8 car, but a 1.6 would work as well. Early cars with SNC issues would work as well, and usually are heavily discounted. I'm looking to pay no more than $1000 (maybe more if it was just a killer deal). I've seen a few cars that meet this criteria on CL, but they were mostly 1 week+ old and were sold. I'm gonna stalk CL for the next week or so until I find one, but I figured maybe one of you knows of a good car.
