Failing at racing seat install

I can't seem to figure out how to mount my FX1 Pro in the car so that I can 1) actually provide enough roll bar clearance (I'm 5'11") and will actually allow me to access the mounting points to secure the seat to the car. Even with the bracket will all four feet on the flat floor of the car, I don't think I'd say I have adequate roll bar clearance with a helmet on. I sat in an NA at Kellers that had FX1 Pros installed and they seemed ok, but maybe I didn't pay enough attention to head clearance?

I am quickly running out of time before Hallett and I have NO seat in the car at the moment. Please, tell me how in the world you can put a racing seat in a miata... Do the ultrashield seats that trackdog sells provide the maximum amount of roll bar clearance? I may not have time to do anything but take the car to them...

Whose car did you sit in at Keller's? Did you ask them? When you say clearance, do you mean you want your helmet below the roll bar heighth?

I also had seen a thread on another board where a guy about my height had installed them. Don't know if he tracked the car though I guess. I'm thinking the front hump would need to be removed (mostly to provide access to bolt down the bracket) and a different seat might be necessary...
