I need to change my differential fluid and while under there, going synthetic on my transmission fluid. My question is this:
I have ramps and 2 jackstands. I was thinking about driving up on the ramps then jacking up the back an putting it on stands. is there a problem with this? I read on the other board about backing up on the ramps and jacking the front up. Does it really matter?

It's possible, but the car is subject to rolling when on ramps. Spring for 2 more jack stands....they aren't very expensive and a much safer route.
Ramps can be tricky if they have too much weight towards the non-ramped end. I've seen them lift up on the skinny end when jacking the front. This is a great excuse to go to HF and pick up two more, or just hit up a friend or neighbor, as almost every garage has a pair if they are at all mechanically inclined.
Sounds like 4 jack stands are the way to go..I not a fan of my ramps anyway. So I'm guessing, put it in gear, set the brake, jack the front first them the back. When done back down first then front.
I'd personally use all four matching jack stands too but that's me.
I'm going the jack stand route, I just wanted some opinions. I will take the advice for sure. Am I correct on the procedure?
I usually jack up 1 side at a time (jack under the mirror), versus front & back.
Damn I feel bad I just used my Rhino ramps and two jack stands. I'm a bad man.
When the car is on the Rhino Ramps there is a "hard stop" for the wheels then I jack up the car and set it on the stands once its on the stands she isn't going anywhere. ;-)

Those ramps are way better than mine, however do you drive up or back up on them? My ramps suck compared to those!

Use your DIY money savings and buy two additional decent jack stands.
