Hello members I am in need of a decent shop or individual that can do some quality body work. My 99 was recently hit on the rear quarter panel and a little bit of the door. I have gotten a few estimates around $1100-1400 which I belive is a bit pricy. If you guys know anyone or a good shop you would recommend please let me know. I am in Denton but willing to drive to the right place. Thanks in advance!

He's done work for several Miata enthusiasts. Rogue was the go-to guy but sadly he's moved on to other employment. :(
My car isn't completed yet (custom work not collision repair), but I've been very happy with the attention to detail and care that has gone into the project. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based on the progress so far.

For a qtr panel (replacement?) and work on a door sounds like in the ballpark. Good body work isn't cheap. Unless you are supplying parts I would expect to pay that much or more.
On my last miata I had a very similar accident on the driver side rear quarter panel, the door wasn't affected, but I needed a tail light. Quotes were in the $1500-1800 range, so your quotes seems about right to me.
It's still a good idea to get peoples opinions though, even if it still costs you like $1300, you want it done by a shop that will do a great repair. Nothing worse than spening over a grand and not being happy with the end result.

I work at Details Ltd, independent collision repair shop in Addison. Good work is not cheap. Seems like every week we get a customer that is in need of "fixes" because of the quality of work done by their "cheap" shop. Also, there may be unseen damage too, almost always is, that will increase your estimates. Ask about color sanding, flex additive, and blending into or respraying adjacent panels. Do they tape or remove trim? All of these things cost money and contribute to quality.

I've heard some very good reviews about Details Ltd! Definitely find a shop that knows what they're doing and cares about the quality. I've seen too many repairs that were really poorly done.
Thanks for the kind words. Because Details is independent, we work for the customer not the insurance company. Quality is the driving factor in our shop. Ron and Justin fight every day with the insurance companies to get approval to fix it right, not fix it cheaply. Insurance companies want the cheapest repair bill to pay. If that means after market parts or recycled parts, then so be it. For us, it's last resort not first. We also use only Glaserite paint and wet sand/color sand every car..be it hyundai tiburon or 911 ( both in the shop now).Quote:

They installed the Z06 intake. Fabricated custom bosses for it to mount to and modded a dress plate to fit around it.

I really liked how he did the intake bosses. I was just going to order the FM kit pieces, but they fabbed oem looking bosses like it was designed to have that intake. The front bumper cover was a POS fitment wise. They cut it into sections and reformed it to make it fit correctly. Also added a bunch of material to the backside for strength and necked down the fog light holes to be used as brake duct intakes.Quote:
