My front fender got scratched yesterday -- I believe at least down to primer if not the metal. I normally don't get in a bunch about small nicks, but this 2-3" scratch is on top of the fender and looks like crap. I don't trust myself with touch-up paint because it always looks awful.
Can anyone recommend a shop in the Flower Mound/Lewisville area that can repair this? I found a place in Lewisville that does "sprayless scratch repair" but it seems aimed at clear-coat scratches.

Yes, the paint guy at Dave's Detail. Mill and Purnell (?) a block north of High School, two blocks north of NAPA.
He did my MS3 before I was ready to sell it. Good work, reasonable price.

If it's in metal and down to the metal you're probably going to need to repaint the panel to make it 100% perfect. In my experience those types of scratches don't look right touched up.
The sprayless scratch repair you're talking about is probably Magic Touch. They do good work but that method has it's limitations, mostly for smaller imperfections.
Agreed... 100% will be tough, but I'm hoping I can get 80-90% (whatever that means) without respraying. I think the white color may make this more feasible. I'll take it by Dave's Detail to see what they think.Quote:
