Miata Bikini Top DIY

So, I went ahead and replaced the top on the Miata Saturday with a Robbins XT Top, once again I was told when I bought the car the top on it was new when it was actually "new".

So I was thinking about doing my own DIY Bikini top, just need to source an old frame or maybe if I can find just the front bow and try my hand at some sewing and see how it turns out. At least that way I could try it before resorting to buying one from Project G. Anyone else on here have a Project G Bikini top or maybe did their own DIY?
