Is this not a storage center? Maybe they plan to collect the air in January and February, then use in the July and August.
This is a really interesting video. From the open chassis servers, to no raised floor, and the extensive air management, that data center looks WAY different than the ones I'm used to seeing.

Ah, so they use a modification of 100 year old technology to do this. Basically massive swamp coolers.

Meh, 7.4 million/year is not a large sum, and there are many hundreds of millions worth of economic impact locally outside of the taxes. I'm guessing it's a better investment than a Super Bowl.
"It'll cost taxpayers"..... Drives me nuts how taxes not imposed are considered a "cost". Like there would be more money in the coffers if the data center did not come.
