Santa Cruz Superlight, LG $1100
For some reason, Santa Cruz sizes their bikes one size larger than they should be. A large is a Medium in most other brands. I don't know why they do this.
Great riding bike; nimble and climbs like crazy! Built with durability in mind and it wears indestructible wheels (and yeah, that does mean they're a bit heavier). The bike weighs around 27lb, which is still pretty light for a 4" travel bike. Brand new brakes, brand new CrankBros eggbeaters.
Excellent machine for a great price; everything is new on the bike except the frame. As with most used bikes, you won't approach the quality and performance of this bike for the cost in any bike shop. If you're ready to take that next step into a whole new world of riding, this is the way to go. You can easily swap a lighter wheel set and shave a couple of pounds right off the bat.
