Hello everyone!
My name is Matt.
Long-ish version: Talked the wife into a 135 a few years back. Then somehow got her to get me some track time out at Cresson. Great fun, and I was convinced I needed a car. I was out with an instructor but there were a couple guys running in the Mazda MX5 cup series out practicing as well, and they were passing me way too often. Thought "Self, I need a Miata", especially after I finished off a set of tires, and I know what brakes cost on the 135...
Later in the year I get us both enrolled in the BMW driving experience with a 1 day car control clinic, which is based around an autocross course, down in Houston. She loved it, and on the ride home she says "OK, we can get a Miata".
Took me a while to find one, but last weekend I bought a 99. It is on FM suspension, with sways and a shock tower brace, has had some maintenance done, but it has seen better days. Looks like a previous owner had a run-in, bumper looks like some bondo cracks, and hood appears to be steel instead of alu.
Beyond that, it has some Kosei wheels, Dunlop star spec II direzzas, and not much else.
Right now planning on a new top, a roll bar, and some seat time. I will probably ask some dumb questions. Sorry.

Where are you located? Welcome to the fun, although it seems you know how to have fun on the track! Awesome.
