Hi Y'all
I'm don't reside n the Metroplex, but..., I have family in Ennis and Garland and come up often. I live in San Angelo with my wife and 3 kids. I am retired Navy (20 years, 13 deployments, incl. 4 combat tours)... I have a BA in History from Angelo State and hope to start a Masters program soon. I work part time as a teacher currently. I own a 2001 Miata LS, which is my DD as well as project car.

Welcome. Stayed in Sam Angelo one night and tried the Lowake Steak House. It was interesting. ;)

Lowake isn't what it was.... Its a nice drive from Angelo to the Metroplex, I take the Hill Country route, through Dublin. I really enjoy the Miata on those trips! I lived in San Diego CA for many years and spent many Saturdays running the Sunrise Hwy and Old Hwy 80 through the mountains. I had a 2007 Shelby GT, which I thought was great, my Miata is a completely different beast! I'm a roadster Man now...

Welcome, have fun with your Miata.

Welcome to this! Thank you for your service. We lived in Odessa for about 5 years and my parents drove to San Angelo every Monday. I also played against the high school soccer teams. It's a neat little town. Better than Odessa for sure.

Thanks, I do enjoy the Miata, that is certain... I've owned 5 mustangs and was prez of a local Wicked Stangs chapter yet, the Miata has been a game changer for me. So much so that I sold my Shelby GT (which was hardly being driven). I plan to buy a 2016 club when I complete my Masters work. The Miata is not only a great drivers car, it also lends itself readily to modification, with a strong aftermarket. My 2001 doesn't much resemble the car I bought 4 years ago, I have made it mine. Some love it some hate it, but it's mine. I can't post pics yet, but I would love to see some of y'alls...
