LSC BMW AutoX #8 - Mineral Wells 9/24/16

Registration is open for the 2016 LSC BMWCCA AutoX #8 event on
Saturday, September 24th @ Mineral Wells Airport. All makes are welcome.

Online registration is available until 6PM the Friday before the event. Cost is $30.
We will also accept credit card payment on site, if maximum capacity has NOT been reached. The total cost for on site payment is $40.

Tech Inspection:
All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site. Have your car emptied, unlocked, with numbers, hood and trunk up.
The inspection begins at 8:00 am and will close at 9:00 am.

Novice Meeting:
You need to attend this meeting if this is your first time out with our club.
Novice meeting starts at 8:30 and is followed by a course walk.

Worker Assignment:
All participants are required to work during runs when they are not driving.
The assignments will be posted on the club van before the meetings.

Mandatory Driver's Meeting at 9:10 am.

First car planned to start at 9:30 am.
Normally we will have 5 runs in the morning and 5 runs in the afternoon. 10 total runs per driver if the schedule allows!

After the morning runs we will take an hour lunch break.

Course looks pretty fun. Now I just have to figure out this waking up at 6AM thing:drive:

It was exciting to see a good battle for FTD, with 4 drivers within half a second of each other.
Thanks to everybody who were able to come out to drive and assist during the event. It would, as always, not be possible to run our events without your help.

Fast time of the day went to Thomas J in Class Y, with his 4th win of the year. He is leading Class Y, but at a slight disadvantage for the season as he has completed 7 events, while Sir Armstrong in 2nd place has one more event to reach his best-of-seven. A similar scenario is playing out in Class G, where Mark W is leading with 7 completed events, but Ken O in 2nd has one more event to fill. The last event will be exciting!

In Class F, Matt D was challenged by Franco M for first place but ultimately prevailed. With his 8th straight victory, he has more than wrapped up the class win for the season.

To continue with season winners; congratulations to John C who has secured Class X with his 5th win of the season and congratulations to Warren P in Class Z who also wrapped up 1st for the season. The 2nd and 3rd places are however still very open with multiple drivers in the run.

In the Novice class we saw Skip A deliver his first win and jump into 2nd place in the class.

Does anyone know if the trailer bees were captured?

No, I haven't been drinking (not yet, anyway, still too early). I'm referring to the big ball of bees that were clustered under the LSC BMW CCA trailer.
