I assume you guys have dealt with this before, I get 3 blinks of the airbag light which when I looked it up means bad power. This just started today when I went to get the car inspected. I failed the inspection, not becuase of the light but because i just pulled it off the trailer and drove it there and the 3rd brake light bulb was out.
I'm wondering if its time to disable the airbag and give up on inspections.....

I thought the resistor trick was only for NA's, but apparently not.
Turns out it is now blinking 6 times. Have lots of you guys disabled the airbag?

Took me six tries, one year. You have it a little easier, too, with the ability to verify that your ODBII is not kicking out codes. With ODBI and using the rollers to test emissions, I had zero idea before hand if it would pass or if my attempts to fix an issue worked until I went back, again. Very frustrating.
My NB passed with flying colors and I got a free car wash. YMMV. ;-)
Also, I have learned don't clear codes before going for an inspection because it takes an NB a while to get the readiness codes to update.
