I stopped by Track Dog yesterday and picked up a RB header for the 1.8. If there were one thing that you'd tell me to look out for when attempting this replacement what would it be? And yes, I do have a large can of PBlaster.

Start soaking those header studs/nuts now....do it several times before you attempt to remove the OEM header.
The EGR tube can be a PITA also.

Soak the O2 sensor(s) too.
Easier to light the car on fire and walk away.
I may need to "phone in" a friend!
The hardest part of my header install was snaking the old header out and snaking the new header in. The bolts were the easy part. And I don’t have AC or power steering in the way.
It's not that hard. I've reinstalled mine several times.
Don't forget kids Vintage Small Block Miatas are different than the Big Block NB2's.Quote:
