Windows Registration Key

OK, I need some help. I bought a new computer, and am giving my old laptop to a friend. I would like to clean and reformat the computer before giving it to him.

Question: I have Windows XP on this machine (the laptop), but I don't have the Registration Key. :banghead: Is there some window I can open up, or utility I can run, that will reveal the key so I can write it down before starting the reformatting process?

There's no way to get the key from the installation.

However, if XP came installed on it in the first place, there's probably a sticker on the bottom of it with the information you need.

If you had'nt found it, there is something called a magic jelly bean that you can use to get it back very easily. Now its just for future reference. :mrgreen:
