OK... what is this thing?

I've seen this thing driving around my neighborhood once or twice, but I've never had a camera ready when I saw it.

What the hell is it? I vaguely remember some kind of very, very limited production "car" like this for sale in the '80s, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is. What it definitely isn't is a motorcycle or a trike with fairings - if you get up close to it, you can see that it was built like this form the ground up.

Any ideas what it is?

Looks like a thing I rode in once, in the early 80's, in Mt Pleasant. My third cousin had a dealership. Not sure he ever sold one. It was the only time I ever met him.

No idea what they were called. Amazed there's still one around. If the guy's name is Rose, do what TC said.

Out in Granbury I used to see one EXACTLY like that driving around pretty often.. Maybe he used to live out there and moved and its the same guy? idk? either way.. its commonly refered to as "the space shuttle car" :clap:

It's probably the same guy. You can't see it in the pics, but there is some guy's name with Granbury, TX underneath it printed below the cockpit window on the left hand side.

the one in the carport looks like a kit car of some type.

Yeah, I saw it. It looks like some long-forgotten kit Lamborghini that never got beyond the "primer the body lanels" stage.
