Auction for MSR membership - Oct 29, 2005
This Saturday, October 29, 2005 is the annual Cresson Fall Festival,
which is
a fund raiser for the 100 year old Cresson school site. This site is
across
hwy 377 from the Ranch and next to the post office.
The Cresson school is a building that is being preserved and restored
and has
received its official historical marker from the state of Texas.
Its main source of revenue is the annual Fall Festival being held this
Saturday. The attractions include:
Lunch served starting at 11:00 a.m. (Brisket, chicken, etc.)
Silent auction starting at 9:00
Live auction starting at 11:00
Halloween costume contest for kids (registration at 9:00)
Treasure hunt for kids under the age of 6
Bounce house for kids
Cresson Fire Department demonstrations
Note of interest: at 12:00 noon, the live auction will focus on race
car
related items, including a membership to MotorSport Ranch and one
year's worth of
dues. The last time the Ranch donated this package, the winning bidder
got
quite a bargain. So if any of your friends have been "on the fence"
about
joining, this is their opportunity. The list of other car related
items is still
being compiled, and will be emailed before this Saturday.
