Amazing what you find when...

It's amazing what you find when you take things apart. At some point this year I had wrapped a bunch of black electrical tape around the intake pipe before the TB to try to get it to seal up tighter. Today, I removed the intake pipe and happened to look inside only to see that the tape had slid inside the pipe, allowing only a quarter-sized area thru which air could flow. Talk about restriction! So I guess I've been running with it this way for most of the AX season. Maybe I'll be faster next season!! :burnrubr:

Would this have helped cause the "Flame-O-Matic" issue Miatamoto was having with your car???

Damn, I can't wait to see how fast your car is without a restrictor plate. It was a real hoot to drive, even with the "flame-o-matic" option.

It's where I say that I wasn't implying anything about his ability to go fast, but was merely pointing out that the car will be faster. It was meant to be a lighthearted bit of encouragement that, somehow, got interpreted as smack talking.

I've never been anything but humble about my own driving abilities. Insult the Honda all you want, but please don't start implying that I have ever bashed anyone's car or driving abilities on this board, because I haven't.

Granted that could be all driver, but I know the names I put in there for comparison aren't slouches when it comes to AX ;) 2-tenths off Mick's time and 3-tenths off Mark's time isn't bad considering that it's a G-stock car. The Si should be faster with more hp and a LSD...

Next season, there will be another RSX-S running in STX ;) I don't see how that guy can stand staying in a Stock class, that's gotta be rough ::Clown::
