I think Merv is referring to the former Stan Whitney D Prepared Miata. Dunno how this one would compare to that or Steve Hudson's car.

Yup. That's the one. Stan built it in his garage in Grapevine and he and wife Paula did very well in it. Unfortunately, they split and she ended up with the car. There is a picture of it in the latest Sportscar..............yellow/purple '95 IIRC.
