Hope to have it by Saturday. Maybe I can WAKE UP the neighbors in the morning with it. I am going to see how it sounds with the Ansa duals that I have. If it is too loud I will probably change to Racing Beat dual

Believe me it will be loud!

First time I put on my racing mid-pipe. I set off all the car alarms within a 50 foot radius. (That was just after starting and no gas) I was like Oh shnap!

You should of used that money for an DE.

You'd get more out the $$$ that way

I am willing to bet I get around 3-5 more horsepower with the flow being opened up and signing up for DE's is no worries.

IIRC MiataPops put a midpipe on his car and it lost power (can't remember if it was HP or Torque) and it came off right away.

But I could be mistaken. I'm a ::OldMan:: and like to ::StirTheP

If DE are no problem then save the $$$ for a MsR membership.

Motorsport Ranch

Regular initiation fee: $3,400 plus tax = $3,646.50 (one time only)
- Regular monthly dues: $90 (plus tax = $96.53)
- Regular half-hour run session: $20

That's 176.53 a month if you run 4 sessions one day a month.

With Apex and Driver's Edge there is no initiation fee and it's $150 for 4 sessions one day a month. The way I look at it if you don't get to go to the Ranch to use your membership at least once a month it's costing you money where DE or Apex you can choose your own availability. Does that make sense?:confused: ....and with DE you get an opportunity to try other tracks.

No arguement with you there brutha on the numbers you stated above.

It makes our joining with 9 people a good deal (4 sessions a month cost us $120). There are many benefits of having a membership. Like you go when you want, run as many times as you want (three is usually enough for old farts like us), you're not held to the weather and you don't have to pay for a hotel. I usually take a guest once a month to subsidize the cost also. Did the DE things for years. Good way to get track time but your tied to all their restrictions.

I just giving you a hard time because I think you should save your limited resources for tack time. Things like adding a midpipe and then replacing your duals are nothing more than bling. And "If you got the bling. . . it don't mean a thing".

I look at it the same way Tim. There is no way I could afford a membership anyway.

Tim the Teacher is FI now right? In his case the race-pipe should help with power. On a stock na Miata, replacing the cat with a race-pipe will give you a small amount of high rpm hp but will loose valuble tq. Not enough backpressure for the hp starved motor. Ya gotta make a lot of power first in order to need a bigger, more open exhaust!
