Nooooo!!!

OMG I feel like a DORK.

DORK!

I just got a Miata wave from an NC and didn't give him one back!!

I feel so dumb... I saw the corner of his car (some sort of maroonish color) and knew it was a Miata (thought it was an NB) and thought... "Hey, I can give him the wave!" but then I saw that it was an NC and said to myself "Nah, NC owners never acknowledge us lowly NA guys". So I ignored him.

And sure enough, when he saw me, a little flash of the lights and a smile... and I was crushed by my own stupid reasoning.

Why me?!

I know it's highly rare to get a Miata wave from ANY generation, much less the NC's because so many dweebs drive them (albeit smart dweebs. I mean they're dweebs because they don't realize what a nice car they have :D) but I couldn't believe this... I missed it. I failed. I suck at life. I'm going to shoot myself now ::Rant::

Do you guys EVER get waves from anybody? Most NA drivers I see have their heads up their *ahems*

I have made a point at waving to NC owners and ALWAYS get a wave back. I have all but given up on waving to NA/NBs unless it is modded. I guess new car owners are generally more passionate about their cars. I have even gotten a unprompted Sol/Sky waves.

I generally get a wave, or if I am flying past them on the freeway I give the gas a little bump to say hi

I always wave my hand (I guess I could flash the lights, but without the pop-ups, it just doesn't seem the same). Funny, I'm usually waving my hand above me since the top is down, and usually their top is up!

I've gotten waves from all sorts of cars. Porche owners, Boxter and 911, S2K, MX-5, mostly just sports cars. I don't think its the people that have certain cars that don't wave to others, I think its certain types of people that don't wave. Example people that get a car just for that status (Snobs). People that like cars and like to drive have no problem acknowlading another type of vehicle that has credible performance/sports car style. :-) but thats just my opinion
