Hello (again) to all...

Well been awhile and have had to re-register under different alias as I have slept since last post and cannot remember old password. Also, have moved office so e-mail is diff., and so cannot retrieve old stuff. No worries. I am now Machismo and looking forward to another great season of information from everyone's experiences. Have been auto-crossing officially for 1 year and can't get enough. Placed 2nd in SCCA Novice class and 2nd in ER Novice Cup Challenge, so I still have tons to learn. Hope anything I say or do helps rather than hinders.

Modified fenders w/o liners. Vents cut in them to let out some heat from the Header. Firewall has vents that route to the fenders to create a vacuum for the air movement. Fender lips have also been shaved to allow for bigger meats in the future. Modified dust shields so the brake ducts can be attached soon. Home made sub-frame connectors. Gutted interior except for vitals (Rhino coated the floor boards) Nothing much in the engine department except for tweaks on timing and injectors. But there was a recent head rebuild due to a castastrophic failure after a Mineral Wells event last season.

Welcome back, Chris. I really like what you've done to your car in the off season. Those fender vents are great and the suede door panels rock.

Now, which are you going to do -- ITB, turbo, or SC? I'd go with ITB since they look so damn cool. The an SC.

Sorry, got booted for a day for having too many accounts. My bad. I will take some pics tonight and post tomorrow. They do help w/ temps. But remember, in order for them to be fuctional, I also removed the liners and cut two holes in the upper firewall into wiper bay to feed engine heat out. This, along with moving air from tire well creates enough of a vacuum to expell the enemy. (In theory) But I thought they just look cool, with no monies involved.

jrj512- I am leaning toward the supercharger. The ITB's are so cool, but I've had to many Vdubs with dual quads and they are a pain to get adjusted correctly. Also, any variation in altitude blows all tuning out the window. Like I have to worry about that here, but I use to live in Colorado and it wasn't worth the effort.

Well as for pics for now (I'm gonna have to wait until next time I meet one of you guys and pay for some priveleges. I'm cash and carry. Anyhoo, come and look and see how. There really is not alot involved (prep wise) You have to make a rubber splash gaurd out of roofing material or you flood the inner doors in heavy water crossings. Mainly any puddle. This is hung in the cavity of fender and door threshold while being held on by the fender bolts. Totally ghetto and it only cost free dollars. The wire mesh I had layin' around but can be purchased at Home Depot. Put the hole saw to use and cut remaining metal with cut-off disc. Remove fender bolts except the pesky bumper one, and apply screening for openings. Rhino line the fender well, install fender bolts and your done.
