Somebody congratulate me!!

w00t! I'm excited right now so I have to post... I just back from my first date since Valentines day last year. And that one didn't even have a goodnight kiss ending :(

Coworker (from another shift, to avoid "conflict of interest") took a sudden interest in me, and she's awfully cute too. So I asked her out. Whaddya know, she accepted! Tonight we had dinner at Red Lobster and then saw a movie... it felt so good to be going out again...

Very sweet girl.. half black, half white, pure Texan. Just my style.

And yes, goodnight kiss ;)

I don't care how long it lasts, I'm just happy right now ::Hyper::

BTW, movies are a horrible first date IMHO. The point is to talk and get to know each other. I always did something more interactive.

Exactly... my approach was always to go for the ::BaHump:: on the first date... and then get to know them afterward.

That's why we went to dinner first, and while there I asked her if she wanted to see a movie since she mentioned that she loves seeing them.

I'm not imaginative though, I have no idea where to take her next time. Except maybe Lasertag :D

Lasertag? Why not take her to a Star Trek Convention while you're at it?

As for bowling, it's right by the Lasertag arena (which she mentioned). And on Mondays it's $10 for all night of bowling, Lasertag, and billiards..

I do like Minigolf too. Good ideas, thanks :D

Add to that list a ranger game. Get a cheap seat. It only cost a few bucks for each seat. Plus you are usually not around other people so no worrys about the drunk rowdy people ruining it. You get plenty of time to talk if you want. And if she is a bad date you can get really into the game until the date ends. :)
