Props and a razzberry

Just want to take a minute to give some props to a few vendors.

Joe at RSpeed. Great service, great prices, great follow-ups. Great.:D

Gary at TrackDogRacing. Did a lot of work very well. Readily accepted parts sourced from other vendors, above and beyond on communication, outstanding quality of workmanship, fair pricing and super value. Follow up call to see if everything was good when I got home, And even a little treat in the mail a few days after. Great.:D

Michael at Discount Tire in Sherman. Price match w/Edge, multiple free dismounts. Great.:D

AJ (Bam) at NTB. Without a doubt, the best alignment experience possible.:D


Now for the razz.

Brian at GoodWin Racing. Hit my amex for over 1k upon order, multiple calls to find out where my parts were, finally shipped almost a month later, did not know his product, said product was in stock; when clearly was not, surley when caught. In the words of Borat "....you, not so much"::Rant::

Anyway, I did my homework. 4 out of 5 is pretty good. Thanks to everyone here who posts and shares the good (and Bad) stuff.

So what all did ya have done???

When i ordered from Goodwin I placed an order but he sent me an email saying he didn't have it in stock. so i cancelled my order.

Gary at trackdog racing is a good guy and i've had nothing but great experiences with him.

Rspeed-no problems at all.

ravenwingperformance- no problems at all.

That's surprising... Goodwin is usually really on top of things.

Gary did a lot. What he initally figured as a two day job turned into 6 or so. All I know is would have been the tech day from hell! Frozen pulleys and calipers, oh my! When he started talking torches and chisels I was glad to have decided not to do this myself (or inflict it on you guys!).

lets see:
TB/WP, tensioner pulley, crank seal, cam seals, replace crank pulley, install RB hollow bar, adjustable endlinks, grease rear bar, brakes: HP+ pads, stainless lines, replace one caliper, flush and refill w/motul 600, flush and refill trans and diff with MTL synthetic, new upper and lower shift boots, flush and fill clutch fluid, new tie rod ends, install shocks and GC kit, install intake, seafoam, more seafoam, couple of the cool TDR bits I had my eye on, and other odds and ends...

Basically, I knew what I wanted for STS2 class, and he took care of making it track ready for MSR and Hallett too. Pretty much all I need now is a roll bar (uhh, hope I never actually NEED it), and its going back to him for that too.

Another plus was my keyway was in great shape. No short nose issue. :clap:

Still gotta work on that one last loose nut behind the steering wheel though. ::Rant:: Gary is good, but...

I did not have a problem last year when I ordered my exhaust from him, which is why I went back (that, and he was the only vendor I contacted, who claimed to have the shocks I wanted in stock).

I dunno. Mabey he's getting stressed out by growing pains or whatever.:confused:

I'm suprised to hear about problems with Goodwin. I've ordered a couple of grand worth of stuff from Brian over the years and never had a problem.

Oh well, glad to hear your other vendor experiences were good as well.

I ordered my wheels and tires from Goodwin and they arrived right on time. When they got here, a couple of the wheel centers where dinged, so I emailed Brian as an FYI. He had a whole new set of centers on a UPS truck the same day!
