I've had these bass blockers for a while but never installed them and do not remember how to, I'm not the best with stereo installs. Does it matter if they are installed on the speakers positive or negative wires and should I install them in line near the amp in the trunk over in the door? I would think the large resistor thingies would rattle in the door.
I'd like to help but only understand the first part of your message. You lost me at "should".
I'd assume you want to keep them in phase and install them behind or under the seats for the most effective results.
I've been told more than once by a few car stereo freaks that bass blockers are a waste of money....so you might research a bit more before installing them. Just a thought.
Well they're just a resistor that blocks certain frequencies based on their size. The car audio nuts don't like them because they'll get crossovers that you can tune and whoopla like that... but bass blockers work perfectly for what they're intended.
Yea just run them on the positive if they're they single wire type, and it makes no difference where you put them, usually closer to the amp is easier to access later rather than in the door panels.

Cool, thanks. I'll have to give it a shot. I got these a long time ago from a friend along with the old but nice amp. At least until I have the extra $ to blow on a sub level switch, I figure these'll do for now so I can turn the volume up with the top down without having to turn the bass down to prevent the front speakers from blowing.
