Adjusting idle?
My idle drops to about 200 rpm with the A/C switched on. Normal idle is 800. I adjusted the idle to keep the car running with the A/C on, but that makes unloaded idle about 1600. I tried the jumper between TEN and ground while doing the adjustment, but it didn't seem to do anything.
What am I doing wrong?
I just changed out the throwout bearing, trans fluid, brake fluid, clutch fluid, did an oil/filter change and replaced the air filter. Ofcourse both shifter boots were torn and I didnt order them. :punchout:Oh well....next time.
Anyway, what gives with the idle?

I would check to see that your IAC valve is working. Sounds to me like it is not compensating for the additional load from the A/C.

That was my thought too. I was usure if the valve is mechaically operated by what looks like a vacuum valve or electrically by the ecu. I was told on Miata.net that the idle setting proceedure had probly not been done right and the grounding of the TEN pin in the diagnostic port while setting the idle should fix it. I can't see what doing that does, but it didnt seem to work.
