Wow that's really cool, Thomas. Congrats! :chug:
Thanks everybody! It was well worth the trip to VIR.
Johnwag, Matt didn't make it to that event.
But on m.n he said he was moving to Dallas in a few weeks!!!!!!

For reference, that's all in 3rd and 4th gear and that's a 400 whp One Lap of America class winning SRT4 that I caught up with. Jimmy's car pulls incredibly hard even in 3rd and 4th.

Some badass driving there! Was the rear end getting away from ya at the end? Thanks for posting that.

Man, that car sounds good! Mark52 needs to call Fuji!
You seem to be sitting a little far back. ;)
Is that car really that unstable? I realize you were showing off and all.
The showing off was only the last turn that you don't really get to see the finish of. I definitely wouldn't say the car was unstable, but it was definitely a loose setup. After my first practice session I almost had Jimmy put the stock sway on the rear (it has a racing beat bar), but I decided to drive around it and deal with the shock damping and tire pressure.
I was full stiff on the Konis up front and full soft in the rear with a 5 psi split front to back in tire pressures. I might have been better to put the stock bar in the back, but the car was controllable and easy to rotate mid corner. I had no spins and no offs the whole weekend.
Awesome accomplishments Thomas. Can't wait to hear the story 10 times at autocross in front of the Mustang owners. :D
Another video going through the esses...

Jimmy has gotten the car really dialed in. Even with the high lift cams, it idle pretty solidly at 1000 rpm. He's got the low end tuned better than when it was at Hallett last year.
The car ran the 80+ laps without a single hiccup. We did lose an exhaust hanger bolt on his custom exhaust, but that was the only thing that happened the whole weekend.
Finally got around to watching the video this weekend. That car looks like a real handful coming into the esses. I think a softer rear bar probably could have cut your lap times significantly.
wow, great accomplishment Thomas!!!!
Congrats!!!
damn dude.......so is it like the AZN hookup with Jimmy and the driving deal? ;)
Help a less fortunate brutha out here :D
