I'm happy it's out of Austin. It's good for the local tracks I think, it helps slow the Dallas-conversion, and all the socialist, liberal, homosexual Europeans out of the land of liberty.

The Texas state government then issued a statement saying that $25m (£15.8m) that had been earmarked to pay the sanctioning fee to Ecclestone would not be paid until after the first race.
And Circuit of Americas (Cota) bosses responded by saying they had not been sent a contract.
Ecclestone, who was talking to the Press Association, said no contract had been issued because he had yet to receive a guarantee or letter of credit that he would be paid.
Bernie got his money. Construction re-started.

Digging up this old thread! Anyone is going to the Nov F1 race in Austin. I just checked, ticket is not on sale yet. However, even the 2-stars hotels are around $200/night! I wonder we have enough from here to get some kind of group rate?
I heard on the local news that many of the hotels are listing that weekend closer to $400 a night.
And higher, check out the famous Driskel for that weekend. Yes, even Motel 6 has jacked up prices. How many of us can you fit Bo? Just kidding. If I can afford tickets I'll find a place to stay.
Cool... You are always welcome!
Glad to have you back Bo Bo! You and Ingrid are welcome anytime. We are in Murphy now. Not to far from you.
