... and a new "racing" front tow point...
I'd love to come by some day if my schedule allowed. I've been collecting parts myself as well, but I never have time to install them these days...or enjoy them :( My work schedule really sucks.
If one of those days majically opens up for me i'll let you know.
lol, for me its just that i almost never have a chance to work on a car and learn, cuz i live in a townhouse WITHOUT a garage
I do have a brand new robbins top on frame and i'd love for someone to share the misery that is bolting in a rain rail...hahaha. Same story on a JR header...Maybe those willl push me into going. I have a fair amount of tools as well...but yea I have 2 kids so don't hold your breath though.
If someone is coming through Euless and heading out there that has an extra spot for a collapsed top frame let me know. I need to get this top frame to jdcanadian.
I'm in for lending a hand over the weekend (19th-20th). Diff and header swap should be straightforward unless you've got cranky bolts and/or axles that don't want to come out of the hubs. Either of those can waste a bunch of time, so the earlier we kick off on those, the better.
Bring your header to the next Wed Nite GTG so we can take a look at it... does it have a bung for the O2 sensor? We can talk strategy for the header collector flange...
As for Jiggerachi's naked top frame, that sounds like a job for ForeverZero... I think he lives out in the mid-cities.
The diff seems likely to go in at the Jack Junckies Wed GTG on the 16th... it will be nice to have help, see ya'll there.
the weekend of the 19th/20th will see the new top and header installation at my folks place in Mckinney...I could really use somebody with Miata top experience... I did my Westfalia's canvas skin years ago, but that was a much simpler install...
either way, hands and minds are all welcome, text for address too won for, to one ate, fif ate nin won.
.... maybe not... Trickyrick had the insight as to the old saying "twice the time and twice the cost"... if I/we do this at my place, I/we have all the time in the world, where as at JJ's, things could/WILL go wrong, and run up several days of renting a spot... what'd you think?
Air tools and lift will more than half the time. Two hours will be plenty if we have guidance on what to do.
If you're on a tight time budget and things can go wrong... they will. Trust me.
I'm still hoping for somebody with miata top replacement experience...
well, the time has come... it's this weekend!
I'll start on saturday morning!
I'm booked on the weekends. But if this goes through to Monday night, I'd love to swing by and see how things are going.
MS
Can i come help out Sunday around noon time?
What are you starting on first?
I'm starting right now with the diff. and the top, all the other projects are lil' ones... any help would be great!
What are you going to tackle tomorrow?
