DM Auto Leasing can put you in a used car temporarily - I have no idea whether they deliver a decent value, but they let you out of the leases for free. It depends on how much money you want to spend.
If you're planning on keeping it for more than a month, normal car rentals get bonkers expensive.
I did my last local rental on priceline.com, name your own price. $12/day, unlimited mileage.
