Which is why I always preferred the back lot, even if service was slower.
You kids go play in the back with the Christmas trees... the bikers don't queer the deal for me. Besides, their bedtime is usually well before we show up in force. ::Banana::
Not last night... you?
Yeah sxk122 was there in his Miata. The bikes aren't that loud for the most part. Once in awhile someone throttles up before leaving but for the most part it's a non-issue. BR I can't remember, is your exhaust all stock?
People can have a conversation with my vehicle running. I also don't sit there revving my throttle and generally being an oblivious douche canoe while people are trying to have a conversation. It's like they're saying, "Hey Everybody! Look at me and my Harley! I'm a real bad ass! Loud pipes save lives!" When conversations have to abruptly stop when you decide to leave because people can't hear someone standing right next to them, then you sir are an obnoxious asshole!
What if I rolled up with some truck or hatchback with a 1,000 watt stereo and multiple woofers blasting and just sat there drowning out your conversation to the point where you can't hear the person standing right next to you? Is that completely acceptable? No. That's being an inconsiderate dick.
As for the back lot, I'm not a fan either. People complain about the slow service now? Back then it was often non-existent. I'll begrudgingly deal with the obnoxious drunk bikers but it would be nice if some of the guys in pickups left the spaces for us. The bikes really only take up about 4-6 spaces. Soon it will be to cold for them and we will be able to shiver our nuts off at Kellers with plenty of parking.
Speaking of 'cold'. Where do you guys go once (if/when?) it gets too cold for Keller's? Rick, Nails and I were talking last week, and I've got some ideas on beer-centric joints, like Meddlesome Moth, Dallas Beer Kitchen, Strangeways, Craft & Growler, Barcadia.

I still go to car meets in the dead of winter, but the old men around here waddle into terrible restaurants so that they can drink beer in the warm comfort of an enclosed space. So, I don't go to this meet in particular, when it is cold out.
I'm usually at Keller's until it gets unpleasantly cold and windy. In the past, we've gone to Fillmore Pub in Plano, among other joints. I'm down for trying a few new (to me) places Chris mentioned once the weather turns shitty. The way I see it, we stand around for 11 months out of the year at Keller's, so it's nice to mix it up in the winter (or in the dead of summer, for that matter). Chriscar, you might want to start a new thread so we don't beat an old GTG thread to death...
Off topic, there's no point in arguing or bitching about the bikers. Do some of them needlessly idle/rev the engine before they pull out? Sure. Does is shut down a nearby conversation? Sure, for maybe 30 seconds. Meh.
The Lake House has welcomed us back there. Might be a good option for cold weather, and still have a lit parking lot for car ogling. I also discovered that they have all Texas drafts $3 on Tuesdays, so maybe even swap the day once in a while. I know, crazy talk.
^^^ These things that OZMDD says... they are all true...
I would be in for a Tuesday night.... would work better for me actually...... and I like the Lakehouse, In fact the wife likes it too.....we have gone there for Sunday Brunch a couple times.
Tuesday would work better for me as well.
