Even with all the latches open the top is still hooked to the car. (Note the shinny aluminum)

POS, assuming that bottom screw holding on the metal strap is a hex or other odd-ball type, then I think this will be a good deterrent. Not 100%, but I think it will work for your needs.

The hose clamps should make good fodder for EKK's friends. ;)

Yep the newer NB's use Torx heads on the top stuff. I'm just trying to deter the crime of opportunity type thieves.

I was headed south on I-35 in northern OK today and spotted her headed north, I think. There aren't too many of us with hardtop Vivids around, so chances are pretty good it was her. :-)
