Clutch problems; Master, slave or both?

The second one you posted, but I can't remember the size off the top of my head. I just did a search to find it when I ordered mine.

If you're located near TrackDog just swing by and pick up a speed bleeder from them. all you need to supply is an empty bottle. If you're going to Keller's tonight maybe you can talk William into bringing one with him. Or if you're near North Richland Hills swing by and you can borrow mine.

So I decided to pick up a Mityvac bleeder as well as a new master cylinder on my way home from work yesterday. I installed the new master cylinder, bled with the Mityvac & everything is working great. Time to :burnrubr:

Do you think the SS clutch line kit is a huge improvement? I'm planning on replacing my slave soon and would like to know if the line is a worthwhile upgrade.

It doesn't seem to me that there is that much consistent high pressure on the clutch system to justify spending $$$ on a SS line kit. My 2 cents, take it for what it is.

Only if you have upgraded to a stronger clutch and pressure plate.

If your is over 10 years old or broken, you should consider the SS. The OEM and SS from Trackdog are similar in $.

and not having to deal with that stupid coiled hard line or having to contort your arm up to where the soft and hard lines meet is worth the money itself, IMO.

Word, given I did mine with the engine out. But the stock line pretty terrible, much longer than it needs to be. I am all for anything to clean up engine bay.

I wouldn't hesitate to switch to SS if I was in the process of swapping the other components anyway, but i also wouldn't go to any trouble to switch. The oem line works fine, and is rarely a problem once properly bled. I personally have never switched one of my own miatas to ss, but I've appreciated the few I've bled that had one. YMMV
