Yeah I've got all new shifter components coming from Mazda Comp. Thanks for the suggestion, I may do the bronze bushing instead of stock plastic, but since I have an NB2, it would be this guy:

I also will we swapping to a low mile MSM 6 speed I have had on the shelf for a year. I'm going with Blackbird Fabworx competition drop mounts for the motor, and delrin diff bushing if my poly mounts aren't stiff enough.
Most of the shifter movement is from the entire drivetrain flopping around.

Might want to invest in a miataroadster shifter... Full disclosure I am a sponsored driver. Torque strut off the motor helps.

With the Blackbird Fabworx mounts, that motor won't be moving at all.
I have always wanted one of those shifters, but I see it more as a luxury. Plus, his delrin shifter bushings wear out after a year of daily driving. I think delrin just doesn't work in that application.
