I am reminded of a quote: "I could give you a Porsche, and you still couldn't afford it". :wink: Call your local independent Porsche specialist and ask them how much it costs to replace a clutch in a 924/944/968. Then think about whether you'd want to spend $5k on a 20-year old used Porsche, or $10k on a ten-year old (or newer) Japanese car.Quote:

The trick to keeping one of those cars cheap is doing the work yourself.
The set of extreme deep offset wrenches I bought that were necessary for working on the Porsche (and my VW) were ridiculously overpriced... and those were just wrenches! I've seen the prices on the specialty tools... :punchout:Quote:

I have a buddy who put plenty of cars to shame with a '99 Hyundai Accent after a little camber and a set of RT-215 were added. It got great mileage off the course, too. :D
