+1, my Tak sounds sweet and I never have to tune it! 16 hours total in my front seat (no case) to and from College Station, even played a Starbucks down there and it was in perfect tune when I got back to Lubbock. Never touched the tuning keys.

A friend has a John Jorgensen(sp?) Tak That has an amazing richness to it
I just got back from getting my strings of choice (Elixer mediums) to put them on in place of what the guitar came with....can't wait to hear what it sounds like with good strings...lol
The guitar has a sweepable midrange bass, and treble EQ, a built in tuner, a preamp tube, and an rca jack to use an extra pickup and blend between the tube and the other pickup (way cool)
I am really diggin the fact that the guitar itself has an onboard tubed preamp!
Nobody played the Ovation last night...lol, I told the guys its got a round back and I have a round front...haha that makes it hard to control.
I think had I brought less people I would have advanced to NY but since I had the audience vote in the bag the other guy got to go, they said it was between me and him....I just figure since they had to give me the guitar they sent him on to NY. I will be back next year though if they hold it in Dallas again. I am just happy I came out a winner.
It's kind of like being paid over 200. per song :D

Did anybody record any of your greatness?
lol, I did record it and am trying to figure a way to get it on the PC...it was recorded with a Hi8 camera...but the Emergenza folks were also running recording equipment but I haven't heard from them yet if I will have access to the video.
Congrats Billy! Sorry I missed it.
Congratulations! You are the official MME Balladeer in my book. BTW the two songs you've shared with us are both 5 star in my iTunes playlist.
Billy, If you can get me the hi8 tape I can pull the audio for you
Awesome Magma...That sounds like a plan.
Thanks again for the support and kind words guys.
